Photography has always been something that brings me joy. Simply put...I love taking pictures! Once I actually learned the technical aspects of my camera, I felt I could then share my joy of taking pictures with others.
My desire and goal as a photographer is to capture the story...everyday moments...moments that will forever stand still in the photograph. I want to capture real life, raw emotions and memories that will never be forgotten.

Well, when I read the intro, I thought of your session with the W family as my favorite from this year. The colors they chose to wear and their rough and tumble joyfulness just make me smile. Love those pics. But when I scrolled through your list, I changed my mind. 4 times.
I settled on #6. It just goes to show that you really don’t know what a deep impact you’re having on people when you go after the goal of capturing lives in action.
I follow you on fb, and I’m going to recommend you to others, though I think all my friends follow you, too.

Denise, I love the tongue (#7), it makes me smile. You have such a talent for capturing personality in an instant. But I have to say, as her mom, the pictures of Alyssa are my favorite. Especially the one with her leaning against that old building near the tracks.
I like number 7…the little girl sticking her tounge out. But, of course my favorite picture is of Ella sleeping with her hands folded or maybe the one of her crying. But I’m her Mom.
I love them all! And even several that didn’t make your list but if I had to choose…definitely #2…doubly precious!! Beautiful Beautiful work Denise!

I can not imagine the task of narrowing your many, many pictures from the past year to ten favorites. I would find it difficult to choose ten favorites from each WEEK of your busy schedule, much less the year. Each of the pictures you chose represents a unique place in life that you captured; newborns, the joy of twins, young love, marriage, family, love, and happiness.
I choose #8 as my favorite, although I could easily be persuaded to change that vote. They are all perfect! The couple is the sweetest pair one will ever meet, and the picture says a thousand words about their relationship.

I have been following your pics through my friends on fb and totally enjoy everything you do. In looking at your photographs, it makes the person looking at them feel like they are right there and they are experiencing what is going on at the time of the photo. Denise, I have been following you for much of the past year and I love looking at the moments you capture from all your sessions. My favorites are the family sessions, and the engagement photos. As for your top ten, I love #7 because that one is the epitome of your slogan–you captured a sweet and funny moment. I like #8, too, because it captures the love behind the engagement.
I know you said you are never doing weddings again, but I was surprised not to see a photo from the P wedding because that was one of my favorite sessions. I loved the one with W doing a toe touch with the bridesmaids jumping with him.

Denise — It just goes to show that there is always room for improvement. Everyone thought your pictures were wonderful to begin with and I didn’t see how they could get any better, but it’s truly amazing to see how you’ve grown. I think you are becoming more and more creative with your shots/angles/backdrops —- and I can’t wait to see what you come up with next for the babies! Even though I love all of the pictures for the obvious reasons, I am going to pick 6 because I love the story, but it’s still difficult because all the pictures tell a story.
