Remember this couple?

Well, I have some exciting news to share! They are the proud parents of twins:)

Justin and Belinda have been very honest about the infertility issues they have faced and so it has been a blessing to witness their dream of having children become a reality. Not only did I shoot their maternity photos, but I am going to give their newborn session a try! And as you will see, I decided to attempt birth photography when Belinda was looking for someone to capture their birthday:)

I was hesitant at first, since this was a new experience for me. Of course I have had 4 babies myself, but this was different. When we discussed the details, Belinda and Justin just didn’t want to worry about taking pictures…having waited so long for this day, they wanted to enjoy each and every second!

All of the weeks of waiting for my phone to ring turned into an induced labor, which went very SLOWLY…and finally after 25+ hours, their babies came into the world. Since they were having twins, her delivery had to be in the operating room. They had to get special permission for me to be in there, and while I don’t feel I was able to get as many pictures as I could because of the chaos and number of people in there, I hope what I did capture will make them happy.

So enjoy this glimpse into the birth of Elianna and John Paul…aka Baby A and Baby B:)

*Thank you Justin and Belinda for the opportunity to witness the birth of your dreams coming true. I had to wipe away my tears as that first baby cry was heard in the room. There is nothing like witnessing a miracle…and Belinda you are Super Woman in my book! I feel a special connection with all of you now and can’t wait to see them both grow up!
